Ross / West View EMSA

Ross/West View Emergency Medical Services Authority is a non-profit organization that provides emergency and non-emergency medical care and rescue services to Ross Township, West View Borough, Millvale Borough, Reserve Township, and Ohio Township. They also provide mutual aid to McCandless/Franklin Park EMS, Valley Ambulance, Shaler EMS, Northwest EMS, and the City of Pittsburgh.

Their services include the provision of basic life support, advanced life support, rescue services, public education, and training. They employ twenty-nine full-time employees, as well as many part-time employees and volunteer personnel staff. The Authority’s fleet consists of five ambulances, two response vehicles, one wheelchair van, and a rescue truck.

As of 2023, Ross/West View EMSA has implemented an annual EMS fee in each of the municipalities it serves. This fee is to provide a source of sustainable funding for the EMS. The fee is $55 per household. Once you have paid this fee, you will not have to pay any out-of-pocket ambulance fees that are not covered by insurance.
