PRC ReuseFest

Event Date:
Saturday, October 15, 2022 - 10:00am to 2:00pm

ReuseFest is a one-day drop off event open to the public that diverts materials from local landfills to instead be reused by local nonprofits.

Clean out the garage…the basement…the overflowing closets throughout the house and gather gently used items to drop off at ReuseFest, a large-scale collection of materials to be REUSED by local nonprofits.

The Pennsylvania Resources Council’s “ReuseFest” – a one-of-a-kind drop-off event for gently used materials destined for reuse by numerous local nonprofit organizations – accepts a wide variety of items including bedding/bath, clothing, furniture, kitchen items, medical supplies, pet supplies and more.

PRC follows all federal, state and local health/safety guidelines.  To streamline the process at PRC events, participants should pack all materials in their car trunks or truck beds and then stay in their vehicles while the contractor unloads the materials. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE 2022 NORTH PARK COLLECTION EVENT. SHOULD I DONATE THIS ITEM?  While the purpose of ReuseFest is to provide a second life to a wide variety of materials, it’s okay to place stained, broken, cracked or otherwise damaged items in a trash can rather than donating to charity.  Before packing an item to bring to ReuseFest, look at the condition and ask yourself, “Would I buy this item in its current condition?”  This criteria should help you to determine which materials to donate on October 15.
