Joseph Keating

Joseph Keating was born in 1832. He was a pilot on the Ohio River for many years before going into the hotel business. He operated a hotel in Glenwood and owned the omnibus line. Between 1861 and 1867 he ran the White House Hotel in Perrysville. Around 1870, he built the Keating Tavern, which became one of the most popular inns in the area.
